40.9 thousand tons of Ukrainian sugar were delivered to foreign markets, which is 47% less than in January.
According to Ukrtsukor Company, the adverse market conditions reduced sales. In February, the foreign sugar market shares were as follows: Uzbekistan - 24%, Great Britain - 16%, Sri Lanka - 12%, Switzerland - 12%.
The decline of sugar exports is a general trend for September-February 2017/2018. It was exported 44% less of the sugar than the same period last year. The export amounted to 290.9 thousand tons.
At the same time, sugar production increased by 6.5% in the current reporting year.
